Yes, that was the intent for this post and photos... especially with the battery being made in Germany!

My pockets aren't as deep as some of the other board members, so every $ saved goes toward a "future" repair or part and we know there will be that...

make sure you change the AH with vcds so the battery management knows what to do.
I searched but couldn't fine specific "coded correctly" for the interstate. Would greatly appreciate is you could share the what coding you used.
I'm guessing you used?
On VCDS: serial #, did you just change last digit?
manuf, change to unknown?
size, change to 95 aH

thanks,
Mark

I actually tried coding to unknown and it didn’t like it. I went back to the brand it was coded for prior, changed the serial number by 1 and changed the AH to 95

Did the battery have a vent hole like the OEM? Any issues? What car did you put this in?

.
Mike, how did you make out on the turbos? I expect you would have told them "NO" and done it yourself once you got the car back.

The stock turbos were good to go and minimal oil in them, so not replaced under warranty. My turbo screens were NOT clogged / blocked up!

I did have them do the oil separator while they were in the engine. Had to pay an additional $100 labor after I balked about the $300 labor I
was initially quoted (got the Service Manager involved...) and telling them the oil separator had to come out anyways...

I did NOT lose my APR Stage 1 tune - they said nothing nor did I admit it...

So, my Audi is "sleeping" in my rear shop and all is well engine wise!

Good; I don't think the tune becomes a factor unless the turbos are an issue! They are obligated to do the safety recall.
.
All's well that ends well, but it still sucks that they would charge you any additional labor at all. I'm sure they got their pound of flesh on the charge for the oil separator

Maybe they want 2 lb of flesh. I don't think I know anyone who thinks they're making enough money.
