Hi guys - I am considering buying a 2015 A8L with 53K miles on it. I believe it is out of warranty now so I have the standard concerns on maintenance / repair bills on this vehicle.

1) is there a way to extend the warranty through Audi? If not is there a recommended 3rd party to extend from?
2) What do the major /minor services cost for this vehicle? (and when are they 50K, 60K?)
3) Are there known issues that I should expect between 53K and 75K miles?
4) I want to get the car inspected before I purchase - any recommended dealers / indys to get this done? Dealer will permit it local to them - but I worry that I may not get a truly objective inspection from a local dealer as they will have a strong relationship with the selling dealer.
5) is there a way to see what price something sold at an auction?

Thank yo for all your help - I really like the vehicle but am approaching it cautiously as it is out of warranty and was sold at an auction.

Which engine/features?
Did you get service records?

Its the 4.0T (A8 L). most notably it has the executive package in rear but I am not sure of all the packages.
Dont have service records yet.
I live in NJ. Car is near Short hills, NJ and I live in Weehawken.

Someone here should know an independent mechanic to go to.
USAA has a good reputation but you need to be military or a dependent to join, not cheap either.

Common issues mentioned so far here that I remember are:

1. Pcv replacement (squealing noise from the engine)
2. Sway bar link replacement (creaking over bumps)
3. Downpipe replacement (Vibration issue at 1K&3K rpm)
4. ECU/Coolant recall fix
