D4 vs D3

The D4 handles better, less understeer. It has better throttle response, better fuel milage. Nicer Interior, better seats.
I was hoping for a bit more aggressive restyle from the D3, but oh well. I also think that the B pillar blocks vision a bit when looking hard left. The price has also crept up to where the car should be really special.
Verdict - It was worth the upgrade for me. better than the D3, and better than the competition which I gave a real thought to. I almost got a S550 which actually would have leased for less, but the D4 is a better car.
Good luck with your decision.

The D3 was a great car, especially for its day, but the interior of the D4 in particular is leaps and bounds ahead of the D3 in terms of quality, features and materials.
Rear seat occupants are spoilt more in the back of the D4 - the full size armrest makes it feel more special, as does features like the LED ambient lighting and the panoramic roof in the LWB model.
IMO there is less useful storage pockets in the D4 though, and the boot is smaller too. Also doesn't have a spare wheel as standard (at least, not in Australia).
