I was checking out an A8 as a possible new car for me, and I would love to have one.... with the 1 exception that I was shocked by the small size of the trunk. I don't think I could fit my golf bag in that small trunk, even on the diagonal.

The car I saw was an S8, so it was the NWB. Does the trunk get larger on the Long Wheelbase?

No, it's the same size for both NWB and LWB. Bring your golf bag to the showroom and try the fit. I'm not a duffer, but I think it should fit on the diagonal. Others on the forum who do play the game will be able to give a more definitive answer.

Trunk is definitely on the small side, but you can fit 2 golf bags diagonally without having to take out the drivers.

It's too bad, because the massive trunk of the D3 series was a major boon to us, and still is.

We have packed SO MUCH into that trunk for long road trips, etc. A lot of people commented on how big it was and how nice it was to have that feature...

it is rather small for a big car, isnt it? My S4 is actually deeper.
