Hello everyone,
One question please about the plastic emergency key.
I lost the original one and got it replaced by the dealer 2 years ago. I am pretty sure I managed to start my car with it.
Today when i tried, the car wouldn't start. Key not recognised. I tried many times to place it on the dedicated location on the dash to no avail.
you don't need to have it in the plastic empty shell right?
because i forgot it in my other house. I can't try.
I can't see why or how it could be deprogrammed or is there a way to resync it?
I have both the original keys, primary and secondary working good.

The plastic valet key should start the car whether or not it is in the blank plastic case (looks like a regular key). There is no battery in it, that is why you need to hold it against the designated area for the car to recognize it.
