Default EPC Light on... Coolant Leak ... ECM needs Replacing

Vehicle:
2011 A8 65K

ISSUE:
EPC Light On
Vehicle Stalls
Code: P025C

History:
Leaving SuperMarket ... vehicle stalled.
Restarted and drove onto highway...vehicle stalled once again.
Restarted, drove withing 2 block of home. Vehicle stalled and
wouldn't crank. Called tow truck.
After sitting for couple hours, was able to drive home.

Dealer called with diagnoses, issues was COOLANT LEAK , running down WIRING HARNESS. Coolant
leak caused ECM to be shorted. ECM will be replaced.

WILL POST UPDATES AFTER GETTING VEHICLE BACK

2nd UPDATE:
My vehicle is Out of Original Warranty , is Certified.
I wasn't required to pay $85 deductible. This leads me to believe that this is a known issue, that if
Audi is pressed they will cover repair

Sounds like the dreaded transmission valve coolant leak flowing into the ECM problem I've read about here. Has happened to more that a few.

Exact same thing, but without the stalling, happened to me as well, but as it was covered under an existing warranty at the time, I have no info as to cost. There seem to be several instances of this same issue mentioned in this forum.

If it helps, TSB # 2033806/6 was noted on my repair order.

Looking at your invoice I wonder if Audi is now advising the techs just to replace the corroded wires. That's good news for anyone with this problem in the future since it'll be a lot cheaper to fix. I had the same part number of the leaking valve and in my case the engine had to be taken out and the entire engine wiring harness had to be replaced.

Thanks for the TSB number. This issue is known and I believe there were a couple of TSB's about it.

Keep close eye on coolant level, I 1st noticed a reduction a few weeks earlier. Never made the connection until cause was detailed in repair order and talking to service writer.

Default 2 additional valve part #'s associated with coolant transmission leak

My service adviser is recommending the following 2 components to be replaced in association with this problem on my 2011 A8 with 68,000 miles

059-121-012A WATERPUMP/COOLANT
4H0-121-671-D COOLANT VALVE

I had already replaced the other valve mentioned in this thread.

He also suggested a $1500 wiring harness for a total of $5,000 for the repair.

Hopefully I will have the 3 valves replaced before the other components get fried.
