So I just drove my First W12... But in a 6.0 Bentley 2006 model. Wow, It is a different level of car. The platform and the motor.. Reminded my of my Primo days... I am sure a W12 A8 can absolutely jump up with most anything on the road... esp. modern version W12 2012 and above.

What a fun read…

The first gen conti GT and Flying Spur feel so cumbersome. Steel body with an extra ONE THOUSAND lbs for the coupe, more for the convertible and sedan and the 6-speed transmission. They’re great cars and so much fun on long trips where you just want to relax, however they are not the best example of W12. Tuned they’re more fun since they are turbo, but even the Speed versions you can really feel the weight.

D5 W12 is turbo and second gen Conti/Flying Spurs are blisteringly quick.

Highly recommend a D4 W12 test drive to really appreciate it, lighter/taughter body and 8-speed.
