This week I was able to turn back on the Google Earth overlay in mmi and it’s working again.
was this resolved by Google/Audi ?
This stopped working in my 2015 over a month ago.
anyone else see the same?

Mine works.
used car with SIM installed and working.
Google voice search for locations and addresses from steering wheel works too.
I still bought a Wakaa anyway and it arrived yesterday

Mine didn't work last night, but I did cancel my SIM. I guess I will continue to use tehe Wakaa unit as it has "grown on me" over the last couple of months (plus it allowed me to cancel my XM subscription and use my wife's subscription via the iPhone app)

I had left my Google Earth switched on but had been using CarPlay mainly to retain this feature after Audi unceremoniously dumped it at the end of December. ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
However like others I noticed it had magically been switched back on without fanfare or warning a few weeks ago here in the UK and I'm really pleased to see it back.![Cool](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
All I need to sort now is the ability to download destinations from the Audi app that the car can understand as ever since they deprecated the original Audi MMI Connect app and forced me to use the newer myAudi app and having taken a lot of functionality away in doing so the car is unable to decode any & all UK locations sent by the newer app!![Confused](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Strangely when driving through France, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany the destinations can all be read by the car but as I live in the UK and haven't driven abroad for over a year now that's not much use to me...so much for progress!![Mad](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)

Mine is working again, I have a T-Mobile data only SIM which does the job for cheap.

.
I use USMobile.com and pay $5 per month for the sim card. (Unlimited phone/text lines with 6 GB of data are under $20 per month, also.) If you sign up and use "JMUBULA" as a referral code, we will both get up to $25 off the next month's bill.![Big Grin](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
