.
(I was referring to your post #1, when the shock failed, of course.)
.
IMO, problems with shocks, front end components, thermostat problems and turbos under 60K is inexcusable in a car of this caliber.

Got the car back this evening

Completed a full inspection. Brakes checked out at 10mm for rear and 8mm for the front,

They replaced the drive side strut assembly - Pressure checked the other 3 assemblies

They did the 40k service, replaced spark plugs, oil change, OEM air filter (gave to me since I have an aftermarket one in place), all fluids topped, and replaced the brake fluid. Also, lubed chassis and all hinges.

Service manager and tech complimented saying this is one of the cleanest 17s they have seen, Said there s not a drop of anything under the car or in the engine compartment. They said the exhaust was perfect, great tone and sound, perfect combo. Then the used car manager came out and asked if I would sale them the car or am I interested in a trade in.

All's well that ends well
.
Good thing you didn't need to pay for any of it! It reminds me of the adage that "one should never own a (BMW, A8, Jaguar...)".

That's awesome. Good to hear. Also sweet that they complimented you on your car's condition and exhaust note. While I am sure he liked your car, they are hurting for cars to sell, I bet any dealer would make a very competitive offer to purchase a car like yours, especially after hearing how clean it is...

Default 2010 A8 Compressor INOP

Hello. I have a 2010 A8L that I believe the compressor relay is defective or possibly the module. When I hooked up my Autel scanner to the car, I did not have any communication with the ride control. Lifted the car up in the air and checked the pump with 12v battery power. Found the pump was defective possibly due to being overworked. Checked for 12 volt power coming down to the pump and it reported back 0 volts. I'm thinking that I may have two issues. The first being a loss of power to the Ride Control and the second a possible bad suspension relay. I checked all of the fuse that I could find in the vehicle but I'm not sure of the location for the fuse or the relay for the ride control. 🤔 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

2010 are always confusing. Do you have the D4 (Europe) or D3 (US)? The relay is located in different places, depending on the model. Where was the compressor, behind the front left wheel or under the rear seat?
