Default Humidity sensor location

I've got a 2016 A8L 3.0 and have a fault 03608-Humidity Sensor in Fresh Air Intake Duct. I've searched all over and can't find a replacement part, picture or video showing where this thing is and how to replace it. I've cleared the code a few times and it instantly comes back so I'd like to get it changed. I'm coming into summer in Texas now and need the AC to be working 100% !!!

Any help you guys can share is appreciated

It is located in the plenum under the cowl under the hood. It is where the blower pulls in fresh air.
4H0907658 (B,C,D) Not sure the most recent rev.
Sensor is brown on the right
Should be very easy to replace, but expensive $150-$200

I have the same fault on my 2016 S8 and I've put off swapping in a new sensor. I'd love to here your results wether or not the sensor replacement does the trick.

Also, what part of TX are you in? We have a couple of us on the board based out of DFW.

Thanks for the help folks ! Awesome response. Is this part commonly referred to by other names as well ? Air quality sensor etc. ?

I'm in S. Fort Worth.

Would love to see more mods available for the 3.0. I wouldn't mind some supercharger noise. Seems like every other model has an intake tube available except for the A8... I've swapped the center muffler with a MagnaFlow resonated X pipe and I'm looking to do the rears with a MagnaFlow 11365. So I can get some rumble under full throttle but remain fairly quiet while cruising.

Thanks again for the help !

Thanks GK1, that may have made my original search too narrow.

That had to of been one of the easiest repairs I've done. Got the part from https://www.buyaudivwparts.com/ for $120. Took all of 15 minutes. remove 2 of the cover panels on the left side of the engine bay (3 bolts total) and lift up the middle cover to reveal the intake and sensor. Half turn to release the sensor, remove plug and then replace. Easy as pie.

Thank you all !

Did you go back and check for the 03608 - Humidity Sensor in Fresh Air Intake Duct fault? If this cleared it up for you then it's next on my list.

I cleared the codes but haven't put any miles on it since. I'll check it after a few days and report back.

Scanned today after 500 miles or so and no more code. Seems to have been the culprit.
