Congrats on your order. My dealer got one in yesterday, the A8 I put a deposit on doesn't come in for 2 more weeks. I am going to test drive one tomorrow, since the difference in MSRP between the A8 I have coming in, and an S8 is only $15,000. Will see tomorrow if it's worth the price difference.

I was at my dealer today getting 25K service on my A8 and ended up getting a lease quote on a S8 that is being built. I have 14 months left on my current lease, they tell me that I can get out clean - no equity or liability. Lease on $115K S8 was $2,236 36 mo/15K mi w/$5K down, seemed high to me. I didn't negotiate but I am considering the car and pushing for a better deal.

I had scheduled a test drive and had discussed switching my deposit from an incoming A8 (didn't order just found one incoming) and purchasing an S8 instead. Got the dealer with a car Im considering trading in, and while they are appraising my car the salesperson comes back saying "uhh the S8 is on the showroom now and can't be test driven...but we've got another coming in a week or so.." Wish he would have told me this when I spoke to him the day before, but oh well. No biggie, just a giant waste of time tho I just want to see if its still a quiet luxury comfort sedan when it wants to be, and isn't too sporty. Just need 10 minutes in one to tell if I want to switch or not.

Have you driven one yet? Thoughts?

Congrats to all of you S8 owners. I just bought a fully specd 2013 S8, which I should pick up in less than a week. I will post some photos once I get it.

Nice color! This was one of my shortlisted colors along with Phantom Black and Quartz Grey which I ended up with...Haven't taken delivery yet...
