Hi all

I have just had a used engine fitted (4.2TDI CDSB) but literally a couple of days later I have oil in the expansion tank, I also have whitish smoke coming from the oil filler cap.

Any pointers on what might be going on?

I am hoping it's possibly oil cooler related??

I would check it first yes, that's the easiest fix by far.

Remove and pressure test it with water and shop air

I’ll give that a go, not any time to do it just yet so be back ends of next week now.

will update with any findings.
