PreOwned With Front License Plate Grille Filler?

I live in a state where we are not required to have a front license plate. I have come across some pre-owns with my desired options but they have such a plate . But I am told that the grille that requires a front license plate is a grille with a filler and when the plate is removed, you see the filler and the holes. I am told the only option is to install the OEM grille with no filler which would be a big cost. What are your thoughts? Any pics of what a grille would look like after the front plate is removed?

It doesn't look bad at all. License plate holder is a plastic piece that pops out and the resulting grill only has small holes in the recessed black plastic. If you are not looking for it, you will probably not even notice it. I think for the A8, you would have to get an entire new grill and not just the filler piece if you didn't want these holes. I just don't see how a filler piece would work.

A new grill installed won't cost you more than $700, at most, and any body shop can do it. They just pop off front bumper cover to install. Oemplus sells OEM grill. And you could always sell the old grill on eBay. Body shops often buy OEM parts through eBay.

Tks for the tip on EBAY though as I still have my S4 OEM Factory grille. Its in showroom condition because the dealer actually switched out the grille before I took delivery of the S4I'll have to find some time to sell that puppy
