I was reading through the recommended service intervals and was curious to read about the tire rotation recommendation. It's only recommended at the initial 5,000 mile service. All subsequent service does not mention this procedure. Is there any reasonable explanation as to why this is omitted? I thought even tire wear would be even more important in AWD car such as Audi. Without regular tire rotation, wouldn't front and rear tires wear out at different rates. I thought that if the tire wear is off by 2/16" or more, they recommend replacing all four tires in AWD cars.
