I need to replace the camera in my 2012 Audi A8, but Audi no longer sells the camera. I found a used camera, but the dealership says they're not allowed to install a used part. However, they can calibrate it if I install it.
I've looked at the area where the camera is located and can't figure out how to access it, and don't want to damage anythring trying to get to it. Does anyone have any information they can give me on what steps I should take to access the camera so I can make the switch?
I've attached a photo of the used camera that I have purchased.
I have same problem. In CZ we have new camera for more than 1000e so I said no. I bought used one. My dealership changed it with no problem. And it has same issue. So I found local guy who fixed it. And then came back to dealership they changed it again and calibrate it. I read and heard from multiple people, that changing it can be pretty challenging. Windshield can be broken of the pressure while you pushing it back. So be careful and have someone who is pushing from outside against you
