Does anyone have any insight into to VAG code tweaking for the D4?
I had a lot of fun with the VAG Com on my D3, from adjusting ride height, to eliminating the infernal seatbelt and door open chimes, as well as some other interesting fine-tuning.
I sold the VAG Com before I got the D4, so I haven't had an opportunity to experiment on it.

I've been able to do the following:
No seat belt chime
Windows up and down with remote key
Needle gauge sweep at start-up
VIM enabled
Allow hidden MMI menu to be displayed
It was hard to find much info out there and the VIM was a joint effort with VAG-COM and trick77.com
If you really look hard, you can find tidbits here and there but i am still looking for stuff as it comes out.

I guess I want to take the plunge. Are there significant upgrades in capabilities with the latest 11.11 software for the D4 A8? HEX-USB+CAN interface is the correct one for our cars, right? Where else can I find information about the various mods?
Thanks,
Thanks,

It's still a vag car, so it should have a lot of similarities to others... just be very judicious about noting the settings before you change them ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
What I like best about the 11.11 is in many cases they've put checkboxes with somewhat english definitions to set some of the major settings...
no more counting from the right or left and from 0 or 1 in different places![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You can still do that if you want !

HEX-USB-CAN for sure.
Our biggest problem getting info is the very small pool of people using VAG-COM on our cars. Think about it...Very few owners to begin with... of them, what is the average age? how many of them are willing (or crazy enough) to jump into the brain of a $100,000 machine and make changes?
When I had my RS4, there were more younger folks willing to experiment and share the results.
For us, we will have to really search out all sources and share what we find to try and build a base up.
