Will a full size tire fit in spare tire well?
Does anyone know if a full size 255/45R19 tire and OEM alloy wheel will fit in the spare tire well?

Given that this is an AWD car, are there restrictions on how long you can drive on space saver spare or where the space saver spare is allowed? I read that on Subarus, you had to put the spare on rear axle only and you had to disable AWD by pulling certain fuse.
Also if you blow out 1 tire, do you need to replace all 4 beyond certain mileage wear?

I found this to be a major PITA on my RS6. There are some bolt heads which are in the inner well which block you from putting a full size spare in there. When I travel long distances I through a snow tire (or summer tire in winter) in the trunk and use up more of the space not already taken by the battery back there!
This BS about not being able to drive on a spare for too far is just that BS. I'd rather drive slowly on a normal sized tire than drive slowly on a some narrow blow up BS tire. Don't tell me that finishing your 1000 mile trip on a temporary narrow spare is safer than doing the same on a full sized-but not warn as much as the older-tire...
CUT THE **** AUDI, make the spot big enough for a full sized spare.

That was one of the bigger disappointments in my book with the D4. The D3 could fit a full size spare (up 19" rim, the 20's still couldn't fit)
Trunk space is crap because they moved all the electronics behind the rear seat ate up the trunk to compensate they made the floor of the trunk lower to bring the cubic feet back to something resembling respectable for a car of this size and class. Part of lowering the floor pan of the trunk involved making a full size spare an impossibility.

Actually a 20 will fit as well in the D3 - I have a 20" audi wheel with 275/35 tire on it and it is in there...
It is *very, very* difficult to remove - almost impossible - requires a crowbar - but you can do it.
Difficult to believe that the D4 does not allow a full sized spare.
