I've been to the dealership twice for this issue. The first time they were at a complete loss, so they just finished the other repairs and I picked up the car. When I went back a couple of weeks later, I asked them about the noise again.

The shop foreman stated that it was a noise from the "rotating assembly" and "not normal". However, they still struggled to locate the source even after replacing some pulley/bearing. First the SA told me that they needed more time to troubleshoot, then (two hours later) he said it was finished and the new part resolved the problem. I was surprised and confused, but happy to get the car back. I didn't notice the noise during the pick-up process and hoped that it was actually fixed.

Several days later, I pull into the garage and open the sunroof. It was obvious that the noise is still there. Any thoughts?

Hard to tell from just the video. Take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out. Do you think it might be coming from the belts? How old are they and have they been replaced recently?

Rocker arms?

Hey! Easy now it's NOT rocker arms, lol.

I did a little test and the noise seems to go away when the AC is turned off. I stated that to the dealer, but don't know if it made its way to the technician. Yep, it has to go back for another dealer visit. This will be the third time in less than five weeks.
