I still enjoy driving my 1999 Subaru Impreza Turbo. Raw, involved as a driver, still quick. I wonder what the designer of this car would think about AI Chat when the most sophisticated button at the time was to brighten the digital clock ?

I was skeptical about GenAI until I started treating it like a real assistant. Then my mind was blown.

For example, I'm picking up golfing again. I was asking Gemini things like about the adjustability of drivers and how it opens up/closes up club faces and b/c I still don't remember the lingo I asked it silly things like what happens if I increase the loft, it tells me the ball will go left/right etc. It's truly crazy.

As far as the application in a car? I use it for things like

"When does Costco close"? It'll tell me the closest Costco to me while I'm driving and tell me when it closes "that day" versus any other day. I feel like I'm still massively underapplying what I can do though.

I went from being very skeptical about GenAI to now using it several times a day. Do I use it in the D5? No, at least not yet.
