Hardwiring Radar Detector
Hello everyone
Anyone tried to tap into the homelink connector as we used to do on D4 to hardwire radar detector using Mirror Tap kit? If so where did you plug your wires in?

I tapped mine into a switchable fuse in the driver's foot well.

Do you know by any chance if it would be possible to tap into the mirror/ovehead light console/homelink? Hate to run that long wire to the footwell.

Did you buy a radar detector there and installed or just brough in yours? Wondering if they will do an installation on the radar detector that you alredy have.

I bought it there when Amazon was having a sale on the uniden r7 and they price matched.. I don't think it matters where u bought it. Not all best buys have the car centers that do stereo, cameras, radar. Call or stop by, I made my appt online. Gl
