My 2019 A8l 3.0 Is up for an oil change. I can find a bunch of different answer for the right viscosity, my question is is there any reason I can't use 5W-20 (ravenol,so meets Audi spec) for a late summer Into winter oil change up here in Michigan? I have an entire oil change kit from my D4 that I didn't use and I would hate to buy another 8 things of oil.
Appreciate any thoughts!

What oil spec is required by your 2019 A8?

There's a 5W20 that meets the EA839 oil spec?!

Fwiw, The V8's use 0w30\504 and recommend only Audis brand at $17\qt at my local dealership. Been using castrol whenever the add oil light comes on.

There is no point to use only $17/qt oil. Attached list has all kind of oils approved by Audi for 8 cyl. engine.

Just changed oil today on my 4.0 8cyl engine. I used suction method. Manual says this engine needs 10qt of oil. There were 8.5qt out and I put 9qt in.
Oil measurement on the dash says the oil level is full. Does it mean that not all oil was sucked out ?
Thanks.

However, in any event some discrepancy is normal. There already is some oil in the vanes of the engine bay, etc. That said, I personally wouldn't do an oil change that way...
