Just picked up a 2023 S8 and I’m driving home.
is there a phone charging pad in this car?
I can’t find it but my R8 has one so I figure there should be one?

How has the charging performance been? I thought my problem might be related to my old iPhone 11Pro, but I have the same issue with my newly purchased iPhone 15Pro. The telephone's battery drains faster than the charging pad seems to charge. This is especially true when using CarPlay for navigation and/or streaming music. I like the convenience of using the built-in inductive charger, but it is just too slow.

I do not use the charging pad in my 2023 S8. It is too cumbersome to reach it and the pad does not charge fast enough to keep my iPhone 15 Pro juiced up.
Instead, I leave my iPhone in the cupholder and plug it in with a USB C cable when it needs charging.
VERY poor design on Audi's part in this car. Mercedes and BMW both do better with their center consoles and phone charging pads. My R8 also has a better charging pad.

Mine works fine too. Increases charge even with CarPlay active albeit slowly and may get warm after 4 hr drive or so. Same flat charger as above.

I have two pads on my 2023 individual seats layout.
One inside armrest as a clip
One in the back armrest as a pad
The front one with Iphone 13Pro doesn't charge enough and the phone becomes so hot to stop working.
The rear pad is more efficient and charges well, unfortunately it warms too much too, but not so much to make the phone switch in protection mode.
These equipments are rubbish.
