Not sure about the LS500 either. Seriously though, Toyota and Lexus should offer free engine replacements to those affected customers in order to preserve their reputation and their customer's loyalty. One of the Toyota forums has posts about Tundras crashing as a result of engine seizure and total loss of power. Toyota needs to be proactive here and do the right thing before the issue causes more accidents and injuries.

Toyota will do something. It just takes time to work through the specifics and logistics of an issue like this and they won't announce a specific recall until they have all the details worked out.

Just read that Toyota has issued a "voluntary" recall on these engines. The news clip did not mention what the fix is though.
