100CS Serepentine Belt
Time for repalcement of the serpentine belt on my '92 100CS. What is the story on the updated tensioners and shorter belts I see listed in alloemaudi parts and bimmerparts?

Re: They eliminate the idler roller.
the good: they eliminated the idler and the belt is shorter.
the bad: belt costs as much as the previous one and requires a different tensioner which triples the price of the job.
an idea: buy the old, longer belt and save some money
