Default Rear of engine, driver side...

...tucked up in a depression by the bellhousing.

Use a longish 8mm Allen bolt IIRC. I remove the bellypan mounting bracket to make it easier to get to. Should replace the rubber o-ring on the bolt.

Default Are you after the bleeder, or the drain plug. rmccominskie is showing you the drain plug

The bleeder is on the coolant pipe a the rear of the driver's side (left side) cylinder head and takes something like a 5mm allen socket to remove.

If you're trying to bleed air out of the system, my prefered bleeder is the plastic one up near the heater valve on the driver's side of the heater box. Just carefully loosen it maybe 1 turn and run the engine a 1,500-2,000rpm until you have straight coolant seeping out of the bleeder. It's plastic so if you over tighten it, you'll snap it right off!!

Default More important than air lock is this...

<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/77595.phtml">Look at all the crap that might be waiting right above that drain plug.</a>
