25 pin connector

I just purchased a 98 A6 Wagon Quattro. While searching to see which CD changer I needed (unfortunately the dreaded 8 pin), I found a rectangular 25 pin female connector. It looks similar to a parallel port on a computer. Any ideas what this is for?

Possible connection for the built-in Audi (Motorola) mobile phone.

If it is left side trunk is the phone; you should find a coaxial connector and a fuse holder, too.

congrats... i just bought a '98 A6Q wagon too.

mine has the Audi bose system w/6 disk changer already installed.
I could check which connector it has...

Thanks but I know it is 8 pin, so I guess I will be watching on ebay for a good deal. Since you have a similar car, I was wondering what your RPM's are on the highway. I am turning 3K at 65 mph. I know that Audis are usually geared high (or low, I get confused which is which) so they usually turn alot of RPMs in 4th, but that seemed like a little high.
