Default 91 CS 100: Cooling fans stay on consistantly when engine is running

Hi,

Problem cropped up about a week ago....As soon as you start the engine the cooling fans stay on full blast (It is in the 20's in the Northeast...), also when you try to press in the AC button on the ATC the light turns on and goes right back off. The fans shut off when you turn off the engine.....any ideas ???

Thanks,

Rick

Default First off, your '91 CS 100 is probably a C3 model (has in-line 5 cyl). Re: A/C turning off,...

the A/C compressor is turned off whenever the outside temp drops below ~40 deg F to prevent freeze-up of the evaporator. The cooling fans probably are running due to a bad temp sensor or a stuck fan relay. Check those parts for proper operation.
