Hi. I'm new to the forum. I just bought this old '92 100. I bought it because I found it cheap and I love Audi's. I had a '90 100 a few years back and my father had a '91 80 Quattro when I was in High School that I had the privileged of driving here and there. They are very fun cars to own, and I've always had an affinity for them.
Anyways, that is what has brought me here. I've been fixing a few things on the car here and there, because it was poorly maintained and sadly neglected for what appears to be quite a while. I hope to breath some new life into her and make it my daily driver.
My question today is this. The car has an after market stereo that was poorly installed. The car is the "100 S" model and appears to have the original stock speakers (two front, two front tweeters, and two rear). I believe it was not the Bose stereo which I think was only in the CS model. Anyways, whoever installed the stereo only bothered to hook up the two front speakers.
I pulled the stereo and it's been hard wired in to the front speaks. (No wiring harness adapter). The factory stereo plugs still are there with what appears to be the unused cables attached. There is a black factory stereo plug (which the front speakers and the battery wire was dettached from and then wired to the stereo with wire crimp connectors), and a red plug with several wires connected. The red one looks thus far unharmed.
Does anyone happen to know which wires go to the rear speakers so I can hook them up as well? I'm guessing its some of the ones left connected to the black factory stereo plug, but I was hoping someone might have solved this puzzle and know what colored wire's I'm looking for, that go to the rear right and left speakers.
Any insight or help is appreciated!
