Default 92 CS 100 Lower control arm

Quick question: R&R'ing the front bearings on my Audi. Will most likely will R&R the lower control arms as well (Rubbers split). Question is do I have to drop the sub frame to replace the control arms or is the bolt on top "secured" ???

Thanks,

Rick

Default You do not have to lower the subframe

The reason it is suggested to drop the subframe is because it is difficult to get the swaybar back into the control arm when the subframe is still attached (on assembly). You can use come-alongs or C-clamps to assist in prying the swaybar back into the control arm. Good luck and STFA for more assistance. Also, there is a tube that has to come out of where the bolt goes in on the inner bushing of the control arm, this has to be pulled out with a hooked hanger or needle nose plyers. Emmett
