96 A6 Wagon 4x4 ignition key is sticky (hard to turn in the morning) ?

Hello all,
My wife was complaining that her 96 A6 Wagon is extremely hard to turn the key in the morning. Is there any fix for this, lubrication? or is it time for replacement?

ignition switch replacement required parts is only abou t $ 40.00 dealers charge about $ 200
to change please check with audi dealer 1996 year had recal by audi for bad ignition switch replacement hope this helps
