Can anyone comment on wheel and tire combinations that will be "bigger" without causing problems in the openings.
Street oriented combinations with large wheels and low profile tires ARE NOT what I'm after. I would like to fill in the "gaps" though.
If I had the overall tire diameter, and width from any conbination that "works". I could select a combination that suits my back road driving requirements.
When I went to the tires and wheels form. the topic all seems to be "street style", but I will ask there as well.
How about 225/60-16? Fit or hit?

and that would be a 205/60-16. 225/60-16 combi would be too wide(225) for the diameter(60) and would rub on the inside housing on a full steering turn.
205/55-16 - standard width & height for 16"
225/55-16 - wider / same height
205/60-16 - same width / higher(diameter)
225/60-16 - wider / higher(diameter)
It's a challenge to fill in the fender gaps on the 100/A6. Going with 205/60-16 would look like having snow tires on 16"...allroad look?
