Default A6 1997 - Radiator fan starts late!

First of all I am a novice who happens to own and love my Black 1997 A6 Quattro. Recently having a problem where my radiator fan starts up late and by that time the engine heats up too much. But if I keep my AC running it is fine since the AC fan keep the engine cool. Coolant and engine oil levels are fine. Replaced Resistance - still radiator fan starts late. Any ideas/help/pointers/suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thanks!

Default maybe its not the fan thats the problem

I would check the thermostat, if its stuck the car will keep heating up fast
or the fan switch in the radiator maybe defective..
have you ever changed the coolant since you've owned the car?
do yourself a favor and do a cooling system maintainance
flush
water pump
thermostat
fan switch

I'm thinking it's the fan switch because I had the same EXACT problem.. Replaced the switch and it was all love after that
