Today I wanted to move my car from spot A to spot B. Suddenly I felt that my brakes are not working properly - When I step on brake pedal - almost NOTHING happened !!!!
I had to step on brake VERY STRONG if I wanted to stop (I almost crashed near by parked cars ...)
The brake pedal worked only if I step on it with FULL STRENGHT !
After few minutes everything was OK but I am very afraid to drive ...
Any ideas about what happened and what to be done to fix this problem?!
Regards
Niksa

check the brake fluid reservoir and see if it is still full... is not u have a fluid leak. check around the brake calipers maybe u see something.
maybe one of your vacuum lines has a leak not getting any pessure to the booster

This is commonly known as the "BRAKE BOMB" cause it looks like a round bomb. It is steel and has oil inside and is used to manage brake pressure. If you look, you'll find it and it should cost about $100.00 for the part.

For me, it was the vacuum line coming out of the brake booster... sorry I don't have a photo right now but it's below the reservoir/master cylinder and it's a shiny black hose, about 1/2" thick.
Remove the engine covers and see where yours is cracked (joints) or leaking.

if you have a faulty hydraulic pump you will have the same problems that you described, it also provides boost to the brake system, check your fluid level, take the top cover off the engine and you should see the pump right at the top, check the area around it to see if you have any leakage it should be easy to spot.I have found that this is a common problem with these cars, had this same problem in our '98 A6q & it was a factor with the brake problems that i was having with my 92 100CSQ. if you check the areas that these guys suggested you will track the problem down in no time at all.
