Default AC problem

There are multiple threads on here about AC system issues, but they all begin with someone knowing what is wrong. My case is different. All i know is that my AC doesnt work. Is there anyone here that has, or can point me in the direction of, a basic trouble shooting guide for AC. Since it is a 1994, there is no AC controller that i can check with my Vagcom.

Symptoms:
1. Obviously AC wont blow cold air.
2. When AC button is pressed i dont feel the "compressor RPM leech"

Only thing that i have checked is the fuse located on the left side of the dash. It is still OK.

You can try shorting the connector on the pressure switch on the low pressure side of the system for just a couple of seconds. If the compressor comes on, it's almost definitely just low on freon. Charging these is complicated because there's no low pressure port and most indie shops don't want to touch them. There's instructions for evacing and charging in the QW FAQ:

Checked the FAQ but the pics are dead and i have no idea where the pressure switch is. Is it one of the connectors under the hood cowl?
