Just to add to the excellent suggestion from DennisStehlick, I found that A Yellow Jacket Adapter 19165 has a Schrader depressor on the female side, and that port is the same thread - 1/2" Acme - as the R-134A charging hose that connect the R-134a bottle to the gauge set. The other end of this adapter is a standard 1/4" male flare fitting to which the blue hose of the R-12 gauge set will connect.
If you want to get directly from the Audi fitting to an R-134a low pressure connecter, get a Yellow Jacket Adaptor No. 19153.
In the Yeloow Jacket catalogue Edition 62, these can be found on page 36.

Just had the AC done on my 90 which uses the same system.
The cost was $75 total and it was down to 5oz.

Total system is around 25oz +/- 2 for what is in the lines.

It took 30 minutes to evacuate the system using a new Snap-On system and fill it up with Dupont R134 with "ICE" enhancement.

System works great.

The mechanic was not familiar to Audi's so he was looking all over the place for the low port, I told him it does not have one and use the high side and showed him the port on the front condenser.

I printed off Bentley just so he understood it by showing him.

Safe to say he learned something new that day.
