Okay. I hated the black rubber shift ****. It seemed so out of place in a leather and burlwood interior. About a month ago, someone posted a photo of the Momo Tomahawk Burl shift **** they'd installed, and I liked it! Found a supplier in the UK and bought one. It arrived, I installed it and was happy.
But then I stumbled across www.autoanything.com selling the Grant Corsa Burl **** and thought...mmmm, time for some comparison shopping.
The Grant **** arrived tonight and I just put it on. I like it much better than the Momo.
A little warning on the pictures. Both the Momo and the Grant ***** match the Audi wood perfectly, eventhough it may not look like that in the photo due to the flash and the camera angle, etc.
If anyone wants my Momo ****, it's been on the car 2 weeks. Still have the original box, etc. I paid $56 for it including shipping from the UK. They are about $90 in the US. Make me an offer.

I have no idea what it is as I picked it up at a junkyard somewhere out of some Audi. Haven't seen another one like it, though.

My A6 is notchy getting the shifter from P around the gate to R with the lever fully depressed. The shift lock solenoid appears to work properly, there seems to be something else getting in the way. Any ideas?

It could be anything in there from the trinket from that last box of Cracker Jacks, to a soccer cleat, to that lost ear ring, or some spare change. I'd stick a nozzle in there and blast it with compressed air and see if it helps.

I guess I have to delve deeper.
No kids, and the wife hasn't been driving the car long enough to lose anything in there, but there are 225,000 miles worth of previous owners to consider...
