Hello Everyone! I'm having a problem with my A6 avant 1997. When I turn my heater, (is to cold for ac right now) I feel and oil smell inside and outside of my car. Just like motor oil. Do any of you had this problem and how did you take care of it?

Even though you said oil smell, maybe its coolant and the heater core is leaking.

I'm new so cut me some slack.
I've got the same thing with 96 A6Q, only when the vehicle is stopped though. It's a hot/burnt oil smell coming directly from the vents. I do not, however, smell oil outside of the car, nor do I see any visible smoke from the engine compartment. From what I've seen regarding swapping out a heater core, this jewel will end up at the shop for this one, definitely not a diy (for me anyway, some people have taken on the task I see as I browse around here). Any comments would help.
