Default alarm

my alarm no longer arms when i lock my car i stfa but did npot fing a way to arem or disarm the alarm wondering if somthing is wrong or if i turned the alarm off somehow

one of your door switches, hood switch, or trunk switch is kaput.

each needs to make a positive connection (or disconnection) for the system to be able to arm.

In my case, it was a microswitch burried in the trunk lock that caused me similar symptoms. One of 2 plasic pegs had broken off an allowed the switch to rotate out of it's proper position.

how do i make the alarm work again with a radio that is not stock?

thanks, i found the problem in the trunk i opend and closed the trunk and herd it beep idk why it wasnt working before as it was latched but its working fine now

the sensor wire that went to the radio has to be grounded
