AMSOIL 10w30 synthetic oil

Just thinking about switching to synthetic oil in my 1992 100 S. Any recommendations on what brand to use, postive and negative of synthetic vs. regular?! Difference between 05w30 and 10w30

Many people use Mobil 1 Synthetic...

i don't thinks its neccessary to spend anymore $$$, its very good oil, and available everywhere.

Did you switch yours to synth and with how many miles?

Just wondering... Thinking about switching mine but afraid of problems. No oil leaks, new engine noises?

used it since 80 000km, have about 110 000km now

the 100q has 205 000km, and just switched.

AMSOIL is good, I've been using their 10W30 the past few months

I was running Castrol Syntec before that. AMSOIL is a straight synthetic oil unlike Mobil 1 and Castrol Syntec which are both synthetic blends meaning they have regular oil in their mix.

Another good pure synthetic oil is Red Line.
