any ideas for removing stripped allen screw? it is set back a bit, so vice grips = no. TIA.

depending on location 3 choices, next size up allen, screwdriver or a drill

Yes. Next 1/2 size up and a hammer. Tap it into the bolt and giver.

Default If next side allen does not work, I would try next size HEX.

It worked for me in other direction: stripped HEX bolt removed by allen socket.

Default Use the next size up Torx..

It will hammer in much easier than 1/2 size up allen. I've been successful with the technique several times at my workplace when I;ve had to 'repair' other's misfortunes.
