Anyone know about rear fog lights?
I have a 95 A6Q and was curious about putting another rear fog light in my car. I saw a post in the tech section but it was on the newer style A6. Has any done done this mod to their A6? Any pictures of the install and/or places to get the hardware would help out alot.

I added second light
For neat installation you will need to stop by at dealer and get the rear fog light bulb catrige ($15). Otherwise you can get any catrige for 1156 bulb from the AutoZone. You also should use blade connectors from R/S.
Procedure:
- I have done if for a wagon so I had to pry-open litle door on the rear gate to access the rear fog light. You should get access to the rear fog light on the trunk lid.
- Open same door on the oposite side. YOu will see whole second rear fog light with the plastic peace covering the bulb place. Brake away the plastic, install the catrige, connect wires to the first fog light.
Done.

in thick fog people do not see back of your car for the lust moment.
They will see a back of your car better with the rear fog light on. The requirement is to have single light so do not confuse it with the brake lights. From practical point, I have seen that thick fog two-three times in my life. On the other side in clear wether the rear fog light totally enoing and I do not like people, who uses it all the time in clear wether. On the positive side I use it, if some moron trying tailgate me or keeps his high beams on (I do not use them too often). And no, I do not block a left lane.

True, I've been in Germany and France driving in heavy fog before, and it wasn't too bad. But a few weeks ago, I was driving home (Montgomery AL)at about 9pm, and I hit a fog bank so thick I couldn't see the headlights of the oncoming cars until they were about 50 feet away.
