Anyone know how many miles a 93 100s will go before giving up

One of these days it is just going to give up!
it has 142,000 miles on it,
I have already spent about 4000 dollars
on repairs/tuneup stuff. I am still have
about 6 months of payments left, It runs
fine now. Should I get rid of it before
it has too many miles????

I would suggest just walking away from the car as soon as it hits 300,000 miles. Sell the parts on Ebay. It just does not pay to maintain one of these rigs after that!
Then get a Honda or a Suzuki!

W/142k if u have an auto tranny u should be expecting ...
a few problems w/it. Replacement cost is about $1500 just the transmition. If u have the 5 speed u r golden the car is gonna go 4 at least another 140k mi.Our engines are very durable but 4 some reason audi f**cked up on the auto tranny.

92 100 CS coming up on 200K
Tranny actually only has 150K cause it was replaced under warranty early on. Got a few problems, but I expect it to hit at least 250, maybe 300.
