Default Anyone use Meyle rear tie rods?

I ordered a set from Pure Motorsports for $78 each. When I talked to them on the phone, they indicated the part was Febi/Bilstein, but when I got it today it was Meyle. I have avoided Meyle in all the other suspension parts that I've ordered. Just wondering if it's worth the hassle in sending them back. Thanks.

Default With Meyle suspension products

the story never has a happy ending. You'll prolly end up replacing them yet again in a year or two. My $0.02.

Default Don't know about that. But if I were you

I would be all kinds of upset if they specified Febi/Bilstein. That's what you want! It would be worth it to look into that I would imagine.

Default Especially since those Meyle TREs are worth less than $15 each. You got reamed!

Default These are the rears. I got Febi/Bilstein for the fronts. Do the Meyle control arms..

come in a Meyle bag? The control arms that I received came in a bag with the Audi part # and a VW/Audi sticker. I'm not seeing any marking on the control arm itself.

Default OK, that's a very good question.

That's true, I ordered a genuine Audi part (as far as I can tell; Audi logo & P/N on part) and it came in a Meyle box from Blau. So, it's possible you got the real McCoy.

Default No, the rear tie rods came in a Meyle box, Meyle plastic bag, and

Meyle stamped on the part. The control arms don't have any markings apart from a K on the ball joint. The bushings have regular part numbers on them.

Default Sorry, I missed the 'rear' factor. I've heard that Meyle is an OEM

supplier of some Audi parts. I suspect that the quality of those parts is far better than their aftermarket parts line.

I'd be content if they had the Audi logo stamped on them...and concerned if they didn't.

Well, the control arms don't have any markings at all.
