So I turn a corner this snowing morning in Seattle, hit the gas pretty hard, look in my mirror... BEHOLD! Blue smoke everywhere! My first thought was that I blew the head gasket because the smoke looked really dirty. I looked at it again and it looks blue, indicating oil burning.
What/how do I check? I would suspect valve seals or a cracked cylinder head because I've been overheating a little.'
If I were on "who wants to be a bazillionaire," you peeps would be my life-lines.

He told me that he brought it to a shop (he hates doing anything on his own cars) and the mechanic told him that oil was coming out of a seal near the upper oil pan. He was able to replace it on the spot, but we still both have no idea why it was bluish looking smoke. Maybe it mixed with something? Sounds like what you were describing, but I dont think he had any overheating issues. Hope things turn out well for you.

then as you accelerate out of the bend, clouds of smoke for a few seconds then it clears.
THis is almost certainly oil surging to the back of the cam cover and through the crank vent into the inlet plenum chamber.
My guess is that your engine oil is a slight amount over filled and this, along with the oil returning from the cam bearings will cause enough to allow oil to surge through the breather system.
If the engine is still running fine then this is your problem.
Do nothing as this may have 'adjusted' the oil level for you.

When I am going up a hill, the car doesn't want to go like I want it to go. Also, it will push a little smoke out up that hill. So all of that makes sense to me then.
Now, what about the oil light coming on? That's not happened before. The light came on, THEN I put the oil in. Hasn't come on in a couple days now, but... kinda weird... Guess I won't worry bout it till it does it again.
Thanks Edd

when the car stood for a while and i drove on the intestate and decided to pedal metal it.. dark blue smoke clears after some seconds and the car is slightly oil sludged around the bumper. seems to be excess oil
