Smokiesman, you said that the Phoenix is a good player. Does it plug directly into the 3 factory plugs that would go into the gamma? Right now my pioneeer wont directly connect because it only has 2 plugs.

I do not think there is a adapter plug for it! I took mine down to a small local stereo shop and let a couple of young fellas there install and hardwire it for me! They charged me about $30 bucks and it was worth it to me! I got real nervous about cutting any wires on that car! You never know what kind of lites might come on!!! LOL !

Flip face, with key card security. I love it, I live in Montgomery, and can pick up stations from Birmingham, Columbus GA, and sometimes Atlanta (which is about 160 miles from my house). I also have XM since 99% of the radio stations suk around here.
I had my radio installed at a local shop, and they had a connector that bridged from the factory plug to the Blaupunkt plug.
The pros for Blaupunkt: It fits in the dash without having to replace the frame and wiring is a snap.
The cons: You lose the in dash radio display, and the color of the radio display kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. It's a dark graphite silver gray color, the face lights up blue with red buttons.
I can live with it since it doesn't look anywhere near as rice as some of the radios out now.
I'm working on a trim piece that fits over the cubby hole just below the ashtray so I can mount the XM controler down there while deleting the ashtray itself. When I'm done it will have a more one piece look, I'm not sure if I want it in the wood look or do something a bit different since my biggest worry is trying to match the wood trim.
