Default Brake light (O)

I just purchased a 1995 Audi A-6...sure it has a few flaws but I love it!

Anyway the brake light is on in the 'Auto-Check System Display' window. From what I understand the people who had the car before me just had the brakes replaced and come to find out they did not want to pay the extra money for the brake pads with the wire attached to them, so they didn't. It just has regular brake pads which work fine but now the brake light is on all the time.

From what I have heard, you can 'hard wire' these wires to ensure this light will go off. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how this works...the (O) light is getting a bit annoying.

Please let me know...and thanks so much!

Default Re: Brake light (O)

If to you have put brake pads without the gauge of deterioration on the screen ' Auto-Check System Display ' the sign on deterioration brake pads should not be shown. This signal is shown if the gauge (a simple wire) becomes isolated on the ground (a brake disk)

Sorry my English

Default find the connector on the inner side of the caliper. has 2 pins

connect those 2 pins and the light should go out. only wires on the front. none on the rear
