Default Broken drivers seat

the right side support in my drivers seat is broken. So that my seat back is now slighty skewed to the center of the car, and all the support is now being done by the left side support. It is a power heated seat in a 1997 A6.

Does anyone know,

A) is this possible to fix without buying a new seat?

B) Where to find used seats?

C) how to remove the old seat?

I was able to remove some of the hardware holding the seat in, but I could not find all bolts required to set it free.

Thank you

Default The key is...

If you truly have the seat pictured in your diagram, the key is removing the stops at the rear end of the slider tracks. Then slide the seat all the way back and out, taking care not to snag the carpet and get it all greasy.

What color and material type is your seat?

Edit: I must not have read your post closely enough the first time to see that you have electric seats. This will help:

Default Lucky you, I have a completely disassembled drivers seat in my garage.

Let me know what parts you want from it and we can work something out.

Default Re: The key is...

it is a cream leather seat. The instuctions look fairly simiple. when sliding it out I assume that I need to use the power to push it out of the track, or can I use push it by hand?
