Default broken lug nut

I just noticed that one of my lug nuts in the front wheel is broken in half. The broken piece is still stuck. Any sugestions on how I can remove the broken lug nut? Is it dangerous to drive with one missing lug nut?
Any input would be appreciated.

Default Having (1) wheel bolt broken can be very dangerous if you're a very aggressive driver. If the....

shank is still protruding out from the wheel hub, you should be able to use Vise Grips (or similar) to clamp it and rotate it out. Before trying to do this, I would spray the threads with PB Blaster and let it soak.

Default to remove it you can get a soket a bit smaller, then the head of the bolt

You will have to humer this soket on the bolt's head. Usually it means humering really hard. Also you can by a set of "twist on" sokets from sears. They are specially designed to remove "shaved" bolts. Search this forum for "shaved lug bolts" for more info.
