Buying 1993 100CS what should I be looking for? Anything in particular I should look for. Car is one owner and in excellent condition.

Make sure you have the chance to start the motor cold. You'll get an idea of how healthy the oiling system is. Check for oil leaks, and the high mileage one's that I've driven seem to need new struts.

1. AT should not slip
2. Engine should not smoke oil.
3. No leaks in engine compartment.
4. Climate control works.
5. Check paint under the engine hood. You can see is it original paint or hood was replaced. Look for other signs of body repair.

6. Ask for maintanamce records. You need them to see when timing belt replaced, did they replaced water pump. Plus neat records show that owner paid attantion to his car.

7. Drive, steering should not pull on any one side. When you turning steering wheel you should not get clicking sounds. Check brakes, ABS.

8. Pump each corner of the car - it should bounce not more than 2 times.

9. Check all electrical componenets (moonroof, lights, cruise control, etc.)

Also check if engine MIL light is working, and not ON when engine is running.
