Car ( Audi 100 2.8E) slip to 1st Gear while driving.

Car ( Audi 100 2.8E) slip to 1st Gear while driving.
Can anybody help here? My Audi100 2.8E (V6engine)
sporadically slip to first gear. I have not been able to get any reply from Germany (very strange)
I have been to 3 garages:
1) Said it is due to the "multifunctiona switch"
-this was changed with no effect - wrong diagnosis.
2) Said it is a solenoid
3) Said ECU (gear) needs to be changed .
Anybody who experienced the same problem before, please kindly advise. Thank u.
